Wylie sits across parts of Collin, Dallas, and Rockwall counties, and the ground underneath changes block to block. We see three different foundation types on emergency calls here: older pier-and-beam homes near the historic downtown, rebar-reinforced slabs from the 1990s and 2000s building boom, and post-tension slabs in the newer subdivisions built under current NCTCOG amendments to the plumbing code.
