Plumbing in Lewisville Homes, From Old Town to Castle Hills

Lewisville stayed small until Lewisville Lake and I-35E brought growth, so most of its housing dates from the 1970s onward. The area of town is a good first guess at what is under the floor.

Old Town and central Lewisville (75057)

The oldest homes around Main Street and the Old Town DCTA station can have cast iron drain lines and, in the oldest, galvanized supply pipe. Slow drains that keep returning and weak water pressure are the typical complaints.

South and east Lewisville (75067)

Much of this area was built in the late 1970s and 1980s, around Vista Ridge Mall and the neighborhoods off Valley Parkway. Copper under the slab from that era is now at the age where pinhole leaks begin, and some homes used polybutylene supply pipe.

North and west Lewisville toward the lake (75077)

Mostly 1980s to 2000s construction. Water heaters here are often in the attic, and expansive clay near the lake moves foundations enough to cause slab leaks.

Castle Hills area

Newer construction, mostly PEX. The common calls are water heater replacement, fixture work and gas line additions for outdoor kitchens and fire features.

Straight Answers About Distance and Hours

Our shop is at 844 Dalworth Dr, Suite 10, in Mesquite, roughly 45 minutes from Lewisville. Lewisville has good local plumbers who can get to you faster, and for water coming through a ceiling right now, call the closest one.

We work Monday to Friday, with a $132 (5–10 PM) or $184 (10 PM–8 AM) fee after hours. We are not a 24-hour company and will not pretend to be.

Where we are worth the drive is the job with a big number attached, where a correct diagnosis and a fixed written price protect you.

Meet James Armstrong

Meet the Master Plumber Serving Lewisville: James Armstrong

James Armstrong has been a Mesquite-resident Master Plumber since 1995. What began as helping neighbors fix leaky faucets turned into a career — and eventually a family business, built on one simple rule: treat people right, do the job with integrity, and always stand behind your work. Today, James and his crew serve Lewisville, Sachse, Garland, and the broader DFW metro from the Mesquite headquarters at 844 Dalworth Dr.

“In thirty years of plumbing across the DFW metro, including Lewisville, the drain calls almost always come down to two things: tree roots in the older neighborhoods, and grease and hair buildup in the newer developments. We camera-inspect first, then choose hydro-jetting or snaking based on what we actually see — not on what gets you to the highest invoice.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We’ve got answers. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Give us a call anytime.

Our friendly team is available 24/7 to help you.

Yes. Tell us what you were quoted and why, and we will check the problem ourselves with a camera or leak detection equipment, show you what we find, and give you our own flat price in writing. If the first plumber was right, we will say so.

A sewer camera inspection runs $150 to $400. It shows the condition of the line and whether it can be lined, which runs $80 to $250 per foot, instead of dug up, which runs $4,000 to $15,000 or more.

Yes, including Old Town, the neighborhoods around Vista Ridge Mall, the lake side of town and the Castle Hills area. Our shop is in Mesquite, about 45 minutes away, so call 214-918-6109 and we will give you an honest arrival time.

No. We work Monday to Friday, and after-hours calls carry a $132 (5–10 PM) or $184 (10 PM–8 AM) fee. For an active flood, shut off your main water valve and call the closest plumber who can come right away.

Look for a warm patch on the floor, a water bill that climbs with no change in use, running water you can hear with every fixture off, and a water heater that rarely stops. Electronic leak detection runs $300 to $500, and the slab should not be opened until the leak is located.

Most of Lewisville is served by Atmos Energy at 866-322-8667, and parts of Denton County including Castle Hills are served by CoServ Gas at 844-330-0763. Your gas bill shows which one you have. If you smell gas, leave the house and call 911 first.

Water heater replacement, repiping, sewer line replacement, gas line work and relocating fixtures generally require a permit from the City of Lewisville. Check the current requirements with the city before work begins. This is general information, not legal advice.

Our friendly team is available 24/7 to help you.
