Emergency Plumbing in Rockwall, TX

Not every home in Kaufman County sits inside a city’s water and sewer system.

James Armstrong Plumbing works on properties throughout the unincorporated parts of the county too, homes on private wells, homes on septic systems, and larger acreage properties where the plumbing setup looks different from a standard city lot. Master Plumber James Armstrong, Texas License M-39428, oversees every job.

We already serve Terrell, Kaufman, Crandall, and Forney directly, and this page covers the areas between and around them.

What Rural Plumbing Looks Different

Well water systems

We work on the plumbing side of a private well setup: pressure tanks, pressure switches, distribution lines from the pressure tank into the house, and fixtures affected by well water quality. Well drilling and well casing work require a separate Texas water well driller license, which is outside plumbing scope. If your issue is with the well itself rather than the plumbing running from it, we can point you toward who handles that.

Septic-connected homes

We handle interior plumbing and drain lines up to the septic tank connection, the same work we would do on any home. Septic tank pumping, tank repair, and drain field service require a separate Texas on-site sewage facility license, which is also outside plumbing scope. If a backup traces to the tank or field itself rather than the house side of the line, that is a septic service call, not a plumbing one, and we will tell you plainly if that is what we find.

Larger properties

Longer supply runs, outbuildings with their own fixtures, and irrigation-adjacent plumbing all come up more often on acreage than on a standard lot. We ask about the property layout when you call so we bring the right length of hose, fittings, and equipment.

What After Hours Actually Costs

A $132 (5–10 PM) or $184 (10 PM–8 AM) fee for after-hours calls. We say it on the phone before we come out.

That is the whole disclosure. We are not going to quote you a low number now and discover an emergency premium later, and we are not going to advertise round-the-clock service and then explain the surcharge when the invoice arrives. If the job is more than the dispatch, you get a flat written quote before work starts, same as any other day.

Calls that come in before noon during business hours can usually be reached the same day at regular rates.

Meet James Armstrong

Meet the Master Plumber Serving Kaufman County: James Armstrong

James Armstrong has been a Mesquite-resident Master Plumber since 1995. What began as helping neighbors fix leaky faucets turned into a career — and eventually a family business, built on one simple rule: treat people right, do the job with integrity, and always stand behind your work. Today, James and his crew serve Kaufman County, Sachse, Garland, and the broader DFW metro from the Mesquite headquarters at 844 Dalworth Dr.

“In thirty years of plumbing across the DFW metro, including Kaufman County, the drain calls almost always come down to two things: tree roots in the older neighborhoods, and grease and hair buildup in the newer developments. We camera-inspect first, then choose hydro-jetting or snaking based on what we actually see — not on what gets you to the highest invoice.”

No. Septic tank pumping, repair, and drain field service require a separate Texas on-site sewage facility license. We handle the interior plumbing and drain lines up to the tank connection. Yes. We serve Terrell, Kaufman, Crandall, and Forney directly, and we also work throughout the unincorporated areas of the county between and around them.

Not automatically. Some rural jobs involve longer supply runs or additional access considerations, which we account for in a flat-rate quote once we see the property. We do not charge extra just because a property is on acreage.

James Armstrong holds Texas Master Plumber License M-39428. James Armstrong Plumbing is BBB A+ accredited since 2018.

We give a flat-rate quote in writing before any work starts, based on an on-site inspection rather than a phone estimate.
