New construction is not automatically clog-free. Drywall mud, grout, sawdust, and other finish-out debris can end up in a drain line during the last stages of a build. A clog that shows up in the first year, especially one that keeps returning in the same spot, is often leftover construction material rather than normal buildup.
Not every call needs one. A single slow sink usually does not. Anything involving a mainline, a recurring clog, or a newer home with an early clog gets a camera inspection before we quote cleaning or repair.
Mostly in the older parts of town near the historic downtown core, where mature trees and older sewer lines are more common. Newer subdivisions rarely have root problems yet since the trees and the lines are both younger.
Calls before noon on weekdays are usually scheduled the same day. After-hours and weekend calls are accepted for a flat $199 dispatch fee.
It depends on whether it is a single fixture or a mainline, and whether a camera inspection is needed first. We quote a flat rate before any work starts, and mainline cleaning currently includes camera inspection at $100 off.
